Created to accompany the poem "Fractal Heart" by Christopher Gagnon, I'm pleased to share my first animation. I'm grateful to Blaire Grady for her blood, sweat, and tears in creating Strangers & Karma. I believe this literary journal will be a space for powerful words and beautiful pictures to become something even more.

Congrats, Sterling, this was so well-executed. Christopher Gagnon’s poem already had strong imagery, but your visuals grounded what was already written.
I happened to have headphones on while watching the video & really enjoyed the sound design. The crunching snow combined with the sizzle & pop described in the poem was satisfying.
Understanding that development was ultimately ruled out, I can see how the parallax scrolling might’ve been employed between scene transitions.
Even then, this was meant to exist in the form it is now; thanks for sharing it with us!
This came out so beautiful. The subtle change of the ranger's face as he remembers his love was devastating and the faces in the fire were perfect. Well done!
