ALMOST EPIC- Start-up with my big brother
Launching a creative business with my brother
ALMOST EPIC
I’m excited to share that my brother Forrest and I have launched a business venture together.
Almost Epic is a storefront for one-of-a-kind curiosities, relics, and limited edition collectibles.
I’ve built this business as a bit of an experiment in front of my students at VCU. I’m requiring them to make their first dollar as part of their grade. Figured, I’d hold myself to the same standard. I’ve been recording the progress of building the company and sharing it on my Think Louder YouTube channel. I fell a bit behind on the edits, but all this will be posted publicly to share the process behind starting a small creative business. If you are just receiving this email, I am sharing this news with my students at this exact moment. 9:30am ET on Friday, October 31st.
I’m building it as light as possible with the hope that it will grow as I bring in more aritsts and offerings. Could flop, or it could becomes something pretty interesting. Either way, I get an excuse to hang out with my big brother.
Pretty cool.
About Almost Epic
Almost Epic was founded by the Hundley brothers, Forrest and Clint. Raised in a home that was part museum, part gallery, where the walls were decorated with everything from stone arrowheads to rusted sabres, the Hundley brothers developed a deep curiosity for artifacts and the stories behind them. Heading off to university, Forrest pursued sports and Clint created art. Almost Epic curates the curios, one-of-a-kind collectibles that fall into that vast space of fandom between the geeks and the jocks, pop-culture and historical artifacts.
